Jerry L. Robertson

Jerry L. Robertson, 72, of Westport, passed away on July 2, 2018 in Columbus, Indiana.  Born May 12, 1946 in Hartford City, Indiana, he was the son of Roy Robertson and Ruby Goodman James.  Jerry was a veteran of the Marines and the Army.  He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1966 and served in the Vietnam War for 4 years.  After Vietnam, Jerry joined the Army and served until 1991, retiring with over 25 years of service.  Jerry was a member of the American Legion Post 129 in Greensburg.  He was an avid outdoors person.  He loved tending to his flowers and garden and mowing his property in southern Decatur County.  Jerry was married to Diana Harlan on December 19, 1993.  He is survived by his Wife, Diana H. Robertson of Westport, his Step-Niece, Renee (Terry) Blumenhorst of Dunkirk, In, his beloved dog, Spock, and all of his neighbors who he loved so dearly.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and step-brother, William Robertson.  Visitation will be from 10 to Noon on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg followed by Funeral Services at Noon with Rev. Aaron West officiating.  Burial and military graveside rites will follow at Rodney Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to Our Hospice.
