Joann Kress

JoAnn Kress, 92, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital. JoAnn was born in Decatur County, Indiana on March 21, 1929 to Otis and Mary Moore.

JoAnn married Carol R. Kress on July 19, 1947 and the two were together until his passing in 1982. She worked as a meat cutter for majority of her life until her retirement. She loved to stay active and would still go on walks and help mow the yard until just a few weeks ago.

JoAnn loved to garden and tend her flowers. She was a devoted member to the Bethel Apostolic Church in Greensburg where she has attended since she was 10 years old. JoAnn was also a Sunday School Teacher for 20 plus years, where she taught the small children’s class.

JoAnn is survived by her sons: Jerry Kress, Robert (Paula) Kress, Michael (Nancy) Kress; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carol Kress; and 7 siblings.

Visitation will be from 10am-12noon Friday, September 10, 2021 at Bethel Apostolic Church, 630 W Hendricks St, Greensburg. Funeral services will follow at 12noon with Rev. Todd Smith officiating.
