John E. Springmeyer

John E. Springmeyer, 80, Greensburg, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 23, 1941 in Greensburg, IN, the youngest son of Christopher and Irene (Bedinghaus) Springmeyer. John graduated from Greensburg Community High School and later served in the Army from January of 1962 to December of 1967. He was a life long farmer with his brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Bonnie Springmeyer, and nephew, David Springmeyer. John also worked many years at Cummins. John was an avid hunter and trapper. Anyone who knew John could attest that he was "one of a kind.” John is survived by one brother, Wayne (Dottie) Springmeyer, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Joanne Clark and Juanita Scheidler, brothers; Dale, Leroy, Cliff (Gene), Don, and Vincent Springmeyer. At the request of John, he will be cremated. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice or the Greensburg Community Schools Education Foundation Fund.
