Joseph E. "Joe" Stuart

Joseph E. “Joe” Stuart, 78, of Greensburg passed away on January 28, 2024. Joe was born on March 2, 1945, in Greensburg, the son of Thomas and Sarah (Elliott) Stuart. He married Marcia Carel in 1967 and she preceded him in death.

Joe worked at various factories and tool & die manufacturers throughout his life. Joe was a skilled home repair professional. He mastered the art of building and fixing and operated Stuart’s Home Repair for over 40 years. Outside of work, he found solace in fishing and traveling. His greatest enjoyment was spending time at the casino. However, the true highlights of his life were his grandkids and great grandkids, who brought immense joy and meaning to his days.

Joe is survived by his significant other, Pauline McDonald; daughter, Kathy (Darren) Benton; sons: Joe (Arlene) Stuart and Brandon Stuart; grandchildren: JC, Kuyhlia, Alexius, Olivia, and Ebonie; great grandchildren: Alihia, Abyl, Carter, Leonel, and Lyle; sisters: Carolyn (Charles) Caplinger and Ellen (Dennis) Bushhorn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marcia; and brother, Jack Stuart.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Charles Caplinger officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
