Joyce E. Christian

Joyce E. Christian, 90, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on January 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 6, 1934, in Lewisville, Indiana, to Ewing and Lela (Stamps) Crabtree.

Joyce attended Sandcreek High School and later married the love of her life, Paul Christian, on August 2, 1952. Together, they shared a beautiful and fulfilling marriage until Paul's passing in September of 2004. Joyce and Paul enjoyed traveling together, antiquing, and visiting flea markets. Throughout her life, Joyce's family was her greatest joy, and she cherished the time spent with them.

She is survived by her children, Kevin (Sallie) Christian and Stephanie Hensley; grandchildren, Ashley (Robert) Price, Kayla Christian, Shawn Hensley, and Jocelyn Hensley; and great-grandchildren, Jayden, Addison, Marliegh, Layla, Silas, and Rosie. Joyce is also survived by her sisters, Ruth (James) Foster, Sheila Marshall, and Debbie Wilcox.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ewing and Lela Crabtree; her beloved husband, Paul; and her siblings, Opal Cook, Charles Crabtree, Junior Crabtree, James Crabtree, and Judy Face.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at South Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army in honor of Joyce’s compassionate spirit.

Joyce’s legacy of love, devotion, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
