Larry Edward Miller

Larry Edward Miller, 78, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his residence.

Born, June 12, 1942 in Batesville, Indiana, he was the son of Carl H. and Goldia Mae (Williams) Miller.

Larry graduated from New Point High School and then Barber College.  He worked as a barber for ten years. He also had worked at Mitchel Veneer as a logger for three years and then he worked for 31 years in maintenance at Cummins, Inc. retiring in 1999.

He was a member of the Smyrna Lutheran Church, Past President of Crownpointe Senior Living Community HOA for 8 years.  Since his retirement, he has enjoyed traveling with Sharon in their motorhome.  Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends playing cards and riding his motorcycle. Larry loved traveling and watching his brother, Dyar play professional baseball.

He was married to Sharon Mirick on April 1, 1962 and she survives.

He is also survived by one daughter, Debra (George) Roccia, Columbus; three grandchildren, Scott (fiancé Betsy), Curtis (fiancé Justina and girls), and Kristine Roccia; one great grandchild, Landon Roccia;

six siblings, Arlene (Jack) Parker, Greensburg, Jim (Harriett) Miller, Greensburg, Dyar (Bertha) Miller, Indianapolis, Peggy (Joe) Weil, Kentucky, Doug (Beth) Miller, Greensburg, Sue (Dan) Hahn, Greensburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Donna Sue Miller; one brother, Lowell Miller.

Visitation for family and friends, observing CDC and state guidelines for social distancing and facial coverings will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  Visitation will also be held on Friday, March 12th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Smyrna Lutheran Church in Smyrna.  Burial will follow in the Smyrna Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Our Hospice of Decatur County or American Diabetes Association.
