Lee R. Bayne

Lee R. Bayne, 69, Greensburg passed away on April 18, 2018 at Arbor Grove Nursing Home.  Lee was born in Kirchheim, Germany on September 30, 1948 to John L. “Sarge” and Elfriede (Neuner) Bayne.  Lee grew up in Germany until age 5 when he and his parents moved to the United States.  He served in the US Air Force in Okinawa, Japan.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 129 in Greensburg.  He worked most of his life as a CNC Operator at American Lifts in Greensburg.  Lee was a free spirit and was very well known around Greensburg.  He could also speak 4 different languages fluently.  Lee married Janet Shoopman on December 16, 1977 and she survives.  He is also survived by three sons, James Bayne, Stephen Bayne, Jeremy Bayne, two daughters, Jennifer Kemery, Patty Gossett, one brother, George Bayne, one sister, Lucy  Jones, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elfriede Bayne.  A private family service will be held on a later date.  Memorials can be made to Hospice through Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home.
