Lorina E. Krieger

Lorina E. Krieger, 95, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg.  Born, March 26, 1924 in Millhousen, Indiana, she was the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Thewes) Schoettmer.  Lorina was a member of the St. Lawrence Ladies Auxiliary and the St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  She was married to John F. Krieger on October 12, 1948 and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2004.  She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Sharon) Krieger, Greensburg, David J. (Cindy) Krieger, Scipio; one brother, Robert J. Schoettmer, Greensburg; one sister, Dorothy Redelman, Greensburg; three grandchildren, Mark Krieger, Clint (Karen) Krieger, John (Chantil) Krieger; seven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sons, Dale E. Krieger, Michael J. Krieger; six brothers, Leonard, Raymond, Alfred, Lawrence, Edward, and Anthony Schoettmer; one sister, Marie Herbert.  Family and friends will gather at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home to pray the rosary.   Visitation will follow until 7:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.   The family will also receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating.  Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg.  Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund.
