Lynn Edward Herbert

Lynn E. Herbert, 67, Greensburg, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana in Columbus. Born, May 2, 1955, in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of Clarence E. and Bernice L. Herbert.

Lynn was a retired “telephone man” at Verizon. Lynn specialized in installation and repair during his 37 years of service, until his retirement in 2010. Lynn was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon, Indiana, and the Knights of Columbus. In his spare time Lynn enjoyed watching old westerns and trying all kinds of different foods (especially his M&Ms).

Lynn is survived by his wife, Ruth Herbert; daughter, Liza (Eric) Schoettmer; grandchildren: Sam, Ben, Molly; brother, Randy (Mary Beth) Herbert; and sister, Judy (David) Riedeman.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon, Indiana. A rosary will be held before the start of mass at 10:30 am, also at the church. A burial of cremated remains will follow mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Millhousen, Indiana.
