Margaret L. Schoettmer

July 11, 1957 — July 31, 2020

Margaret L. Schoettmer, 63, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020 at her residence. Born, July 11, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Edward A. and Georgia (Moulder) Chaney.  She held an Associate Degree in Computer and Information Technology.  She had worked at OSL as an IT Specialist. She played softball almost her entire life. She played for Hulls Trucks and Trailers. She loved every minute spent with her children and grandchildren. She was married to Charles Schoettmer on September 10, 1977 and he survives. Other survivors include sons, Lee (Amy) Schoettmer, Greensburg, Travis (Jenni) Schoettmer, Greensburg; daughter, Amber Schoettmer, Greensburg; grandchildren, Cody, Lane, Emma, Haylee, and Cooper Schoettmer; sisters, Cindy (Ray) Mergenthal, Brookville, Laura (Dan) Weiler, Connersville, Vicki Schmaltz, Batesville; several nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation for family and friends, observing CDC and state guidelines for social distancing and facial coverings will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 from 11:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  Graveside Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the American Heart Association.
