Marjorie K. Herbert

Marjorie K Wenning Herbert was born on February 1, 1928 on a farm in Decatur County.  She was the daughter of Charles and Mary Oliger Wenning.  She married Paul F Herbert on June 10, 1967 at Carmel, IN.  She is survived by two sons, Gary (Elaine) Herbert Columbus, Richard (Barb) Herbert Greensburg and one daughter Ann (Jim) Kunz Greensburg.  She is also survived by one brother Leo J (Mary) Wenning of Tempe Arizona, two sister in laws Lucille Wenning Greensburg and Ruth Wenning Osgood, 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren & great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers Carl, Bob, Don and Louie Wenning along with 4 sisters Marie Kesterman, Vera Walters, Rose Ann Sturgis and Betty Vanderbosch. She belonged to the Senior Center of Greensburg & the St Lawrence Auxiliary #100 of the Knights of St. John in Greensburg.  She loved dancing, playing cards and traveling with her husband and family out West.  She also loved spending time with her grandkids.  Family and friends will gather at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home to pray the rosary.  Visitation will follow until 5:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.   The family will also receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg.  Memorials may be made to the Our Hospice of Southeastern Indiana.
