Martha Louise Church

Martha Louise (Sibbitt) Leaming Church, 98, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Morning Breeze in Greensburg. Born February 22, 1920 in Bringhurst, Indiana, she was the daughter of Lawrence Guy and Glyde Claire (Eikenberry) Sibbitt.  She grew up in Carroll County and graduated from Cutler High School in 1938.  She married Marion Leaming on April 28, 1939 and they resided in Romney, Indiana for 10 years.  The moved to West Palm Beach, Florida and resided there for 67 years.  She owned and operated Sea Spray Hotel in Palm Beach Shores for over 50 years. She spent her final years at the Morning Breeze Health Center in Greensburg.  She was a member and sang, and played the piano for Bringhurst UMC choir and services for many years, was a member of UNI in Romney, loved to garden, and can her results, love to entertain, dance, and followed fashion especially jewelry and shoes, she and her husband loved to travel especially to the Caribbean and Islands, and PU Agricultural Conventions, was a licensed Realtor in the State of Florida dealing in Rental Properties, was accomplished business women who owned several rentals, helpedmanage her husbands farm in Romney which tested hybrid corn in conjunction with Purdue University. Her husband preceded her in death in 1979. She is survived by one son, Donald Leaming, West Palm Beach, Florida; one sister, Jean Lougheed, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sons, Larry Leaming and Mark Leaming; one brother, Thomas G. Sibbitt. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Romney, Indiana with Rev. William L. Scott officiating.
