Michael D. Manlief

Michael Davis Manlief, 60, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was born on July 20, 1962 in Greensburg, the son of George Davis and Marlene Marie (Herbert) Manlief.

He was a 1981 graduate of South Decatur High School. He owned and operated his own mechanic shop for many years.

Michael enjoyed gardening and working on cars. He especially enjoyed doing restoration work on cars.

He is survived by children: Natasha Manlief, Amber Roszell, and Travis Manlief; stepchildren: Eric Huweart and Becky Lozier; grandchildren: Kristian, Korbin, Khloe, Jace, Madalynn, Malachi, Mason, Macy, Michael; step grandchildren: Katie, Mikayla, and Landen. He is also survived by his sister, Paula (Mark) Scheidler.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Debbie Butz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, with Father John Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for Michael will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 a.m. prior to the visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
