Nancye P. Barnhart

Nancye P. Barnhart, 89, Greensburg passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, at Aspen Place Nursing Home in Greensburg.

Born, October 14, 1934, in Sullivan, Illinois, she was the daughter of Clovis and Cecile (Cummings) Milam.

Nancye married Thomas I. Barnhart on October 27, 1951, and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2006.

Nancye worked for several years in the Trust Department at the former Indiana National Bank in Indianapolis.  She lived the majority of her life in Carmel, Indiana.  She was a member of the Carmel Christian Church.

She is survived by two daughters; Terri Barnhart (Richard) Pleak, Greensburg, Vicki (Frank) Scuglik, Carmel, and her granddaughter; Taylor Scuglik, New York City.

Nancye was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, twin brothers; Merle and Berle Milam, and two sisters; Lena Barr and Mary Pate.

Nancye’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care given to Nancye by the caregivers and friends at Aspen Place.

Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg is handling arrangements; however, no public services will take place.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Greensburg Animal Shelter and/or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
