Paul S. Walston, 90, entered his eternal heavenly home on Thursday, November 22, 2018 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.  Born in Ohio Co., Indiana on May 19, 1928, his boyhood days were spent on a farm.  At the age of 19 he purchased a bulk milk route which he operated for four years prior to joining the Army.  He served two years in the Korean Conflict.  In 1960 he married the love of his life, Sheila Holstein from Minden Nebraska.  Paul was affiliated with all phases of the automotive industry for 40 years of his working career.  He worked in several executive positions with Chrysler Corporation for 10 years before he purchased his first Chrysler, Plymouth, and Dodge Dealership in Greensburg.  He later owned and operated a Chevrolet Dealership in Versailles Indiana.  Paul was a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod/Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.  Paul was committed to spreading God’s word and to that end, supported several Missouri Synod Lutheran seminarians as they pursued their calling in the Ministry.  For 15 years, he actively volunteered for the local Hospice chapter.  Paul was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Sheila, his parents and his five brothers.  Paul is survived by his daughters, Lynn (Jim) Hatfield, Cyndy (Richard) Bagan, and his five beloved grandchildren, Carrie, Zak (Olivia), Spencer, McKenzie, and Tori.  Paul’s most famous advice was “buy low and sell high” and “salesmanship begins when the customer says no.”  Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Greensburg from 9-11 am on Tuesday, November 27 with funeral services following at 11 officiated by Pastor Aaron West.  Burial and military graveside rites will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro.  Paul and his family request that memorial contributions be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.  Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
