Phyllis Darlene Houk

Phyllis Darlene Houk, 81, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Born, October 21, 1941, in Bicknell, Indiana, she was the daughter of Charles and Louise Hollingsworth.

Darlene married Hershel Houk Jr., on January 11, 1958, and together had 3 children.

Darlene brought joy and color to the world through her love for flowers. She was a devoted mother, always fair and caring towards her children, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. She embodied a captivating blend of sassiness and nurturing love. To her children, she was a vibrant fireball. Her memory will forever blossom in our hearts and those fortunate enough to be a part of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Hershel; daughter, Michelle (Jim) Adams; sons, Todd (Vicki) Houk and Craig (Julie) Houk; grandchildren: Josh (Alexis), Brandy, Hannah, Zachary, Craig Jr., Tyler, and Ashley; great grandchildren: Aries, Caden, and Hudson.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Tyler Houk. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Betty (Rudy) Davis.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 10:00 am at South Park Cemetery with Pastor George Mitchell officiating.
