Ray F. Beagle

Ray F. Beagle, 89, of Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the Heritage House in Greensburg.  He was born February 18, 1933 in New Point, Indiana the son of John and Nettie (Holtzbach) Beagle, both deceased. He married Mary J. “Jeanie” (Duffey) Beagle on October 13, 1956 and she preceded him in death.

After high school Ray served in the United States Army. Ray worked for many years as a warehouse manager for Allied Grocers in Indianapolis. He was an avid golfer and a long-time member of the Greensburg Country Club. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #129.  He enjoyed traveling, visiting the farm, and having lunch with his close friends.

He is survived by his; four children, Rick (Sherry) Beagle, Chris (Suzie) Beagle, Karen (Rick) Meyer, Kathy (Mark) Porter, all of Greensburg; grandchildren, Kyle Porter, Tyler Porter, Karly Porter, Adam Meyer, Dylan Meyer, Zane Beagle, Zack Beagle, Emily Bruns, Greg Beagle, Ashton Geyer, and Christopher Dilk; seven great grandchildren; sister, Trudy Martin, of Seattle WA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jeanie Beagle; siblings: Jack Beagle, Mary Gillema, Gene Beagle, Norma Ooley, and Freda Powell.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 1:00 pm also at the funeral home with Father John Meyer officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greensburg.
