Rickie Alan Meece, 58, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Born, July 3, 1960 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of David Junior and Thelma Maxine (Campbell) Meece. Rick graduated in 1979 from Greensburg High School.  After high school he served in the US Army.  He was a volunteer fireman in Greensburg for 16 years. He worked at Delta Faucet for 32 years until his retirement.  He has worked the last 8 years in security and engineering at the Major Hospital in Shelbyville. He was a past president of the Eagles Lodge #927.  He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was married to Julie Ann Clark on April 2, 1988 and she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Thelma; four children, Lacie (David) Armuth, Greensburg, Derrick Meece and his girlfriend, Aubrey Hodson, Greensburg, Carolann (Billy) Oliphant, Burney, David (Tasha) Meece, Burney; two brothers, Robert (Jodi) Meece, North Carolina, Tony (Jennifer) Meece, Tennessee; two sisters, Missy (Brian) Hartwell, Greensburg, Peggy Fenske, Greensburg, brother-in-law, Richard (Elaine) Clark, Greensburg, sister-in-law, Imia Clark, Greensburg; eleven grandchildren, Alex, Nolan, Mariana, Dakota, Angel, Cody, Makenzie, Logan, Kirsten, Mattilee, and Jack; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, David Meece; son, Matthew Scott Meece, in laws, Alfred & Elizabeth Clark; brother-in-law, Robert E. Clark. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 to 5:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Greg Redd officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Major Hospital Foundation.
