Robert Charles "Chuck" Dyer

Robert Charles “Chuck” Dyer, age 60, of Milroy, Indiana, passed away on January 16, 2022, at the family residence.

Chuck was born on October 10, 1961, to Donald Ray Dyer and Wilma Jean (Maple) Chandler in Greensburg, Indiana. After Chuck graduated from Rushville High School in 1982, he met and married Sherri Bowles. Chuck and Sherri went on to have two children, Robert Charles Jr. and Heather.

Chuck worked for Excel Manufacturing for several years and then went on to work for GECOM Corporation of Greensburg. In later years, he drove for the Amish Community and spent his leisure time enjoying NASCAR and spending time with his friends and family. Chuck was a deacon at the Milroy Christian Church during his last few years of life.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Dyer; his stepfather, William James “Bill” Chandler; and his sister, Marilyn Joanne Woolston.

He is survived by his two children, Heather and Robert Charles Jr.; his mother, Wilma Jean Chandler; his five sisters: Darlene (Nelson) Roberts, Brenda (Bill) Powers, Betty (John) Zapfe, Phyllis Bolden, and Janet (Johnny) Hankins; his five brothers: Bill Dyer, Jim (Karen) Dyer, Ron (Kim) Dyer, David Ray Dyer, and David Hall. He is also survived by an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Chuck’s ashes will be put to rest at South Park Cemetery columbarium, following a celebration of life that will be determined at a later date.
