Robert E. Hannum, Sr., 80, of Greensburg passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at his residence in Greensburg. Robert was born on May 26, 1938 in Decatur County, to Robert S. and Orphedella (Lawrence) Hannum. Robert joined the Army in 1961 and served during the Korean Conflict as an MP for 2 years. He was a truck driver for Johnson’s Wholesale and Hill-Rom before retiring. Robert was a Golden Eagle at the Eagles in Greensburg. He loved going to the casino, listening to his favorite country singer, Merle Haggard, rooting for the IU Basketball team, Jimmy Johnson of NASCAR, and the Cincinnati Reds, and always loved spending time with his grandchildren. Robert married Evonne K. Clark on September 5, 1964 and she survives. Other survivors include, 3 sons; Robert E. (Vicki) Hannum, Jr, William (Marliee) Hannum, John (Christie) Hannum, 8 grandchildren; Dustin Redelman, Brittany Hannum, Lily Hannum, Daisy Hannum, Janie Colson, Stephan Hannum, Keisha Hannum, A’Jay Hannum, 2 great grandchildren; Skyla Hannum, Johnnie Watson, and 1 sister; Juanita McCullough. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, grandson; Dalton Tyler Hannum, and 2 sisters; Beverly Baker, and Donna Sue Lee. A private service will be held at a later date.
