Robert Wayne “Bob” Imel, 77, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Heritage House Nursing Home. Born, January 23, 1942 in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of Perry H. and Rosamae (Shuck) Imel. Bob grew up on a farm in St. Paul and lived most of his life in Decatur County. He worked at Batesville Casket Co. for over 15 years. He also worked at Advanced Engineering, H&M Tool Shop, Randall’s, and American Manufacturing. Bob farmed in the summertime and loved tractors. He played guitar and sang for the Bible Baptist Church in Greensburg. Bob was married to Rosalee (Burton) Imel on January 29, 1965 and she preceded him in death on July 17, 2009. He then was married to Dorothy “Dottie” (Boyce) Imel and she survives. Other survivors include, his daughter; Penny Hoskins, Nashville, IN, son; Walter Imel, Indianapolis, 2 grandchildren; Matt McNealy and Jessica Hoskins, brother; John Imel, Greensburg, 3 step-children; Joseph Hill, Indianapolis, Jada Drexler, Floyds Knobs, Shane Barnes, Adams, and 6 step-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; Perry and Rosamae Imel, 1 st wife; Rosalee Imel, 5 brothers; Richard, Earl, William Joseph, Charles, and Denny Imel, and 4 sisters; Tillie Mae Imel, Patsy Cowins, Peggy Gilland, and Janie Simmonds. Visitation will be held from 11 am – 1 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Funeral Services to follow at 1 pm officiated by Rev. Glenn Seaman. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
