Robert B. Parkison

September 5, 1931 — January 11, 2025

Robert B. Parkison, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, or as his grandkids called him, Gpa, passed away peacefully at home with family at his side on January 11, 2025, after a life of dedication, love, and service.

Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 3 years, from 1950-1953. He worked at Delta Faucet, retiring after 32 years. He made many friends while working there and was a well-respected foreman.

Born on September 5, 1931, to Harry and Florence Parkison, Bob married the love of his life, Ethel Gabbard, on May 28, 1956. Together, they built a strong and loving family and raised four children.

An avid outdoorsman, Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, camping, and collecting arrowheads. His independence and adventurous spirit inspired those around him. He was a family-oriented man, cherishing time spent with loved ones at family functions and community events. His talents extended to photography and artistry, and his generosity knew no bounds. He enjoyed exploring genealogy and spent many hours researching his family history.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ethel, three siblings, two children: Debra S. Hogg and Denise R. Martin, and one great-grandchild. He is survived by two children: Robert E. Parkison (Darla) and Beth A. Dudley (Greg), son-in-law John F. Martin, 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. His legacy of love and strength lives on through them.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
