Robert A Skotzke

Robert Arthur Skotzke Sr, 76, passed away October 2 in Venice, FL. He was born on February 28, 1942 in Detroit Michigan to Arthur and Betty Skotzke. His family moved to Greensburg in 1953. Bob was married to Ruth Wilhoit and she survives.   Bob fulfilled his life long dream of working with his father when they opened Skotzke Auto Sales in Greensburg. He went on to own the Columbus Auto Auction and Taylorsville Car, Truck, and Trailer. He moved to Venice, Florida in 2004. He joined the local Moose Lodge, eventually being elected governor of the Moose.   Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister Patricia Janes. He is survived by Ruth, his children Dawn (Ben) Samuelson and Robert Jr.; five grandchildren, Elyse and Alea Samuelson, Logan, Robert III, and Sarah Skotzke, and great grandson Yosef; sister Judy and brother-in-law Paul Schneider and brother Thomas Skotzke, and several nieces and nephews.   Visitation will be held at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg, Saturday October 13 from 1pm-3pm with memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Venice Moose Lodge 1308.
