Ruth E. Duerstock, 88, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg.
Born, January 13, 1933, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of George and Bertha (Scheurer) Kortzendorf.
Ruth had attended Sacred Heart School in Indianapolis. She had worked at NTN-BCA, Union Bank & Trust, and Delta Faucet all in Greensburg. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She was married to Norbert Duerstock on August 6, 1955, and he preceded her in death on December 6, 1984.
She is survived by seven children, Wayne (Misti) Duerstock, Mooresville, Mark Duerstock, Greensburg, Carl Duerstock, Westport, Joan Duerstock, Greensburg, Deron Duerstock, Oldenburg, Randy Duerstock, Westport, Keith (Angie) Duerstock, Westport; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; four brothers, Harry, Robert, George, and Donald Kortzendorf; one sister, Dorothy Miller.
Family and friends will gather at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg to pray the rosary. Visitation will follow until 7:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund.
