Ruth A. Parish

Ruth A. Parish, 93, passed away on September 29, 2018 at Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg.  She was born on April 24, 1925 in Atchison, Kansas to Peter and Anna (Clye) Goldt.  Ruth graduated from High School in Atchison, Kansas in 1945. She worked at South Decatur High School in the cafeteria and then was a caregiver locally until she was 80 years old.  She married Everett R. Bud Parish on April 1, 1967 and he preceded her in death on March 6, 1998.  Ruth is survived by one son; Steven Frost, Greensburg, two daughters; Nona (Art) Bolen, Moorpark, CA, Cindy (Tim) Pippin, Laurel, one sister; Helen Hurst, Kansas, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother; Floyd Goldt, and two sisters; Mary and Kathryn.  Visitation will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Fuenral Home from 10 a.m 12 p.m. followed by Funeral Services at 12 p.m. officiated by Pastor Rob Edwards.Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Our Hospice or to the family.
