Ruth C. Wenning

Ruth C. Wenning, 92, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville.  Born, May 16, 1927 in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Frank J. and Clara A. (Veerkamp) Brancamp.  Ruth was a hosewife and formerly worked at the Shoe Factory in Osgood and was a state employee at the Muscatatuck Development Center in Butlerville.  She was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church in Osgood, the Ladies Auxillary at the church, and the Ladies Auxillary at the VFW.  Ruth was married to Carl W. Wenning on October 12, 1946 in Millhousen, Indiana and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2011.  Ruth is survived by one son; Frank C. Wenning, Osgood, two daughters; Rosalie J. Calhoun, Osgood, Susan C. (Mike) Youngman, Madison, IN, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers; Frank H. and Alfred B. Brancamp, 4 sisters; Marian F. Thewes, Hazel F. Lochard, Laura M. Brackney, Ethel A. Redelman, and great grandson; Justin Ricke.  Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2019 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with a rosary service at 3:30 p.m. prior to visitation.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at St. John's Catholic Church in Osgood, In. with Rev. Bill Turner officiating.  Interment will be held in the St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery in Napoleon, In.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude or St. John’s Catholic Church.
