Shaun J. Ortman

Shaun Ortman, 44, a lifelong resident of Greensburg passed away on December 14, 2023, with his loving family by his side.  Shaun was born on January 21, 1979, in Columbus, IN.  He is survived by his wife, Kristy; two children: Cole (Cassidy) Ortman, Laryssa (Tyler) Logsdon; all of his fur babies; dad, Jim (Renada) Ortman; brother, Kyle (Tara) Ortman; mother, Mary Ortman; and many nieces and nephews.

On March 8, 2002 Shaun married his soul mate, Kristy (Luken), with their kids, Cole and Laryssa, by their side.   Shaun’s family was complete and his love for his family was never ending.

Shaun graduated from South Decatur High School in 1997 and advanced to Lincoln Technical School with a technical degree in Diesel Mechanics.  Shaun’s love for tractors led him to a career at Smith Implements/Koeing where he earned his master’s degree at John Deere University.  Shaun’s passion in life was farming, four wheeling, motorcycles, and living life to the fullest.  Anyone that met Shaun knew he was always willing to lend a hand and there wasn’t anything he could not fix.  “Lights” were his specialty.

A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home (Greensburg, IN) from 4pm-8pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Church in Millhousen. An additional hour of visitation will be held prior to Mass from 10am-11am.  The Funeral Mass will begin at 11am.
