Shirley Ann Winters

August 21, 1930 — May 14, 2018

Shirley Ann Winters, 87, passed into the arms of the Lord on May 14, 2018.  Born August 21, 1930, in Madison, Indiana, she was the daughter of Armenius and Margaret (Kloepfer) Tevis.  Shirley had worked as office manager at the Greensburg Water office.  She had been a school crossing guard, a Cub Scout leader, President of Rosenmund Elementary School PTA and GCHS Music Parents.  Shirley loved to sew and cook and host family gatherings.  She enjoyed taking walks, working in the yard, shoveling snow for the neighbors, taking family vacations, and volunteering at church.  She was a member of Greensburg United Methodist Church.  She was married to Jack Merrill Winters, her loving husband for over 60 years, and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2015.  She is survived by one daughter, Candice Dianne (Jim) Cazzell, Bloomington; two sons, Brad (Diane) Winters, Columbus, and Tracy (Phyllis) Winters, Greensburg; one sister, Sandra Tevis, Madison; grandchildren, John (Michelle) Peters, Matt (Amy) Cazzell, Holly (Darby Jones) Cazzell, Jason (Kari) Winters, Heather (Scott) England, Jeremy (Whitney) Winters, Adam Winters (fiancée Megan Kemp), Derek (Samantha) Winters, Dustin (Becca) Winters, Jaxxon Winters, Rebekah (Caleb) Barton, and Rachel Winters; and 17 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Betty Goodpaster and Nancy Cook.  Visitation will be from 3-7:00 pm on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 18, 2018, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am, at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Campbell and Pastor Barry Morton officiating.  Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
