Thomas Howard Dwenger, 63, of Greensburg, Indiana, died on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from cancer.
Most called him Tom or Tommy throughout his life. He was well known for his antics and humor in public and private. In more recent years, he could be found heckling his teammates at the bowling alley, cracking jokes while cruising the golf course, or feeding (many) treats to the family dogs.
He is survived by his two children; son, Steven (Jennifer) Dwenger; daughter, Juliana Dwenger; brother, John Dwenger; sister, Judy Ison; and his six grandchildren: Briana Dwenger, Wessley Dwenger, Landon Dwenger, Zachary Thurston, Joshua Sandoval, and Trenton Thurston.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents: Lillian (Blanton) and Hilmar J Dwenger; his sister, Virginia (Dwenger) Colson; and brother William “Wild Bill” Dwenger.
Tom chose to forgo funeral services for a cremation and celebration in his honor. As he would often say, “Call me Popeye because I yam what I yam.”
