Timothy E. Schwering

Timothy E. Schwering, 66, of Greensburg passed away on Wednesday afternoon, May 11, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born in Greensburg on January 30, 1956, the son of Dennis and Mary Ann (Buening) Schwering.

Tim attended St. Mary’s School and was a 1974 graduate of Greensburg High School. He worked at Westport Implement in high school and for a period of time afterward. Then he became self-employed as a farmer and logger until February of 2000 when health and vision problems were diagnosed.  He was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and a loyal listener of Jeopardy.

Tim is survived by his children-Timothy D. (Jana) Schwering of Chicago and Emily M. (Mitch) White of Fort Wayne and four grandchildren—Mila Schwering, and Paxton, Lennox, and Hendryx White. He is also survived by his close friend, Lori Vanderbur of Rushville and sisters, Jeanne (Don) Fry, Nancy (Paul) Vanderpohl, Monica (Steve) Horan and half-brothers Andy (Lisa) Schwering and Dan (Sara) Schwering, all of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann on August 2, 1970 and his father Dennis on August 14, 2021.

Per Tim’s wishes there will be a graveside prayer service at Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery in Millhousen on Tuesday, May 17, at 10:00 am. Family and friends are invited to attend this service in remembrance of Tim.  Arrangements are being handled by Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home of Greensburg.
