Wayne R. Masters

Wayne R. Masters, 82, Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at the Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana. Born, February 23, 1938 in Carter County, Kentucky, he was the son of Bert Voyance and Zola Mae (Hamilton) Masters.  Wayne graduated from Fleming County High School in Kentucky.  He then served in the US Army.  He was the Superintendent of the water department for the City of Greensburg for many years and then worked for Rural Water until his retirement. He was married to Elizabeth Joan Abrams on July 3, 2001 and she preceded him in death on January 15, 2017. He is survived by one daughter, Tonya (Michael) Burgess, Iron Mountain, MI; sister, Fay Egan, Knightstown; grandson, Thomas Michael Dudley, Joliet, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; and three brothers. Private graveside services will be held at Rossburg Cemetery in New Point with Rev. Mark Vice officiating.  Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Veterans Association.
