Lena D. Luber, 85, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg.
She was born on July 9, 1926 in Brown County, Indiana to Ora and Nellie (Skinner) Roberts.
Lena married Powell Luber on January 2, 1946, and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2010.
Lena was retired after working at BCA in Greensburg for many years. She was a homemaker and devoted as much time as she could to her children and grandchildren. She was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg.
Lena is survived by two sons; David Luber, Greensburg, Robert (Debbie) Luber, Westport, two daughters; Linda Luber, Greensburg, Mary (Bernie) Green, Greensburg, two brothers; Benjamin Roberts, Illinois, Curtis Roberts, Nashville, IN, two sisters; Nettie Walls, Nashville, IN, Louetta Willard, Taylorsville, IN, 10 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother; Ora Roberts, Jr., and three sisters; Sally Dixon, Kathryn Miller, and Shirley Selby.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday prior to visitation.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's School, Hospice, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
