Leah M. Humpert, 87, Centerville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Otterbein Retirement Community in Centerville. Born November 19, 1926 in Decatur County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Frank H. and Elvera (Tichenor) Stuehrenberg. She graduated from Napoleon High School in 1945. She worked at the Garrett Garment Co. and Hulls Truck & Trailer Co. before her retirement. She was married to Joseph Wayne Humpert on September 5, 1945 and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1994. She is survived by three sons, Charles E. (Julie) Humpert, Hope, John W. (Linda) Humpert, Greensburg, William E. Humpert, Greensburg; one daughter, Betty (Robert) Benken, Mason, OH; one brother, Paul Stuehrenberg, Greensburg; three sisters, Mary Louise Meyer, Osgood, Jane Stankavich, Texas, JoAnn Brooks, Columbus; eight grandchildren, Michael Benken, Nikki (Craig) Burkhart, Jamie Humpert, Chelsea Humpert, Lisa (Andy) Schwering, Lora (Rob) DeHoff, Jason Humpert Bostic, Jared Humpert Bostic; one step grandson, Jon Moyle; four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Frank Stuhrenberg, Jr., Bill Stuhrenberg, Dale Stuhrenberg; sisters, Frances Worland, Dorothy Oliver, Mildred Helton; granddaughter, Julie Benken. A public rosary service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. followed by Visitation until 7:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral home in Greensburg, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Julie Benken Memorial Drum Major Scholarship Fund at the University of Cincinnati.
